(Recipe recorded by Nell Farrar White 1960's)
I hope you are enjoying all of these wonderful vintage recipes from my husbands grandmother. It's a great collection that I hope to one day try. In the mean time please let me know if you have baked or cooked anything from her collection.
Bing Cherry Salad
2 box cherry Jello
2 cup hot water
1 cup canned milk (undiluted)
1 No2 can crushed pineapple
1 No2 can dark Cherries chopped
1 cup mayonnaise
1 lb cottage cheese
1/2 cup chopped pecans
No directions on how to prepare. However, it would appear that this recipe is a typical Jello mold type salad, popular during the sixties. Pour hot water into bowl containing the powdered Jello, then add all the rest of the ingredients. Once combined pour into a mold and place into refrigerator until set.
