Yum Yum Cake
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup sour milk
2 cup flour
1 tsp soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice
1 cup raisins or jam
1/2 cup nuts
Filling
2 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
1 lb butter
1 tsp vanilla

Bakeless Fruit Cake
2 lb graham crackers
1/2 cup nuts
10 (cup or 1 cup?) cherries
1/2 lb marshmallows
1/2 lb dates
Mix and press firmly into roll.
Gingerbread
1/2 cup shortening
2 TB sugar
1 egg
1 cup black molasses
2 1/2 c flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup boiling water
Cream shortening and sugar. Blend in egg and molasses. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with hot water. Bake 45 minutes. Serve hot with lemon sauce or butter.
